Internet Information Services (IIS) 6.0
Internet Information Services (IIS) 6.0 is a full-featured
Web server that provides existing Web-based applications
and XML Web services. IIS 6.0 offers dedicated application
mode, which runs all application code in an isolated environment.

processes on a computer each receive a share of the requests

ASP.NET is the engine for Web-based applications and XML
Web services. It brings rapid application development
to the server. Part of the class library in the .NET Framework,
ASP.NET pages use a compiled, event-driven programming
model that improves performance and enables the separation
of application logic and user interface.
Lab Report: Windows Server 2003 Outperforms Predecessors
VeriTest, an independent test lab, has found that Windows
Server 2003 outperforms Microsoft® Windows 2000 Server
and Microsoft Windows NT® Server 4.0 by a dramatic
margin—typically performing two to three times faster
on the same hardware.
Compared to Windows NT Server 4.0, Windows Server 2003
